Quick Summary

Yay.com's VoIP phone system now supports attended transfer, dedicated apps for tablet devices and multiple users on a single mobile device.

We’re happy to announce some exciting developments. Look forward to the following updates over the next week or so.

Attended Transfer

You asked, we listened. All Yay.com customers, including customers of our VoIP resellers, will soon be able to conduct attended transfers from our apps.

Rather than simply patching a call through to another user, you’ll be able to check with your colleagues that they’re happy to take a call. Those sharp enough to have used call parking to achieve this previously will find the new attended transfer process far more efficient: place the caller on hold, call your colleague, then join the two calls with a single tap, completely eliminating that extra step.

This feature will be available for Yay.com direct customers through our apps and for customers of our VoIP resellers using the white label PulseHD app. This means giving your customers more control over the way they work and, subsequently, more reasons to happily use your service.

iPad and Android Tablet Apps

Like our mobile and desktop apps? Make way for Yay.com on your tablet. Up until now, you’ve been running mobile versions of Yay.com on your favourite tablet device. With this update, you’ll be running fully optimised versions of Yay.com for your tablet devices. A user experience overhaul makes use of all that extra screen real-estate for an even more pleasant time using our service, making it easier than ever to conduct business from wherever you are. And that’s not just iPad users either. Users of Android tablets can look forward to staying connected with colleagues from their Samsung Galaxy Tab, Lenovo Tab or Amazon Fire HD.

Multi-user, multi-device

Are you a business leader at the cutting edge of two, or even three, industries? How about an IT administrator with a creative phone system setup you need flexible softphones to implement?

With our multi-user, multi-device update, you no longer need a separate device for each Yay.com account you’re a part of. Add users from different accounts to a single device and switch between them in a tap or two. A more flexible phone system means more freedom for you and your colleagues to work in the way that suits you. And to us, that’s what matters.

But that’s not all.

You and your colleagues can now add your Yay.com user to multiple devices of the same type. Mobile users rejoice! High flyers with more than one mobile device can connect with clients and colleagues from any device.
