At Yay.com we do everything in our power to make switching to us as easy as possible. If you’re unhappy with your current provider and their service, the last thing you want is for other providers to make it hard for you to switch.
Not only do our VoIP apps boast bulk-deployment methods for lightning-fast provisioning to all of your staff no matter whether you have one or one hundred employees, but we also make it easy for you to import details from your previous business phone system. This includes your business phone contacts.
Our VoIP apps will automatically pull contacts from your personal device if you give permission, but VoIP desk phones can be a bit trickier. Our configurable phone books handle this potential problem by making it easy to import or export your business contacts to Yay.com.
Just like a physical phone book or business directory holds all the names and contact details of local or international businesses, your personal business phone book will hold all the contact details of your business associates. Unlike a physical phone book, however, your Yay.com version will be completely configurable and customisable.
From your Yay.com dashboard, you can create as many phone books as you like. Upon creation, these will auto-create a username and password, as well as a provisioning URL. These are all used in your VoIP desk phone’s GUI to provision the desk phone and import the contacts held within the phone book.
In order to add contacts to your phone book, you can import contacts as a .csv file and add any stragglers manually.
Now, when you input your phone book’s provisioning details to your VoIP phone’s GUI (accessible from any web browser by inputting your desk phone’s IP address - discoverable from the phone itself once connected to your local network), the phone will pull in all of your business contacts.
This is only one of the config options available to Yay.com account holders and administrators. You can also configure your hardware, voicemail inboxes and even shortcodes.
If these VoIP phone system features sound like they could benefit your business, you can switch to Yay.com today or get started with a free VoIP trial.
